This workshop will be bursting with activity-a haven in which to create beads and glass work of all shapes, sizes, colors and textures. The processes we’ll be using are easy to learn, with the results extraordinarily varied, from classic to heavily patterned beads...each an art object that can stand alone or be part of a necklace, bracelet, earrings or other piece of jewelry. Sally will also be covering some more advanced skills using Boroscilicate to create hollow forms.
Tuition: $460 (includes materials and lab fee)
DIGITAL DARKROOM: Beginner Adobe Photoshop CS – Frank Ward

Students will be working on Snow Farms’ eMac computers, Epson Photo scanners and Epson Stylus color photo printers. The skills that you will learn in this class are easily transferred to any PC with Adobe Photoshop CS installed.
Tuition: $420 (includes lab fee)
THE SOUTHWESTERN COILED BASKET: Elizabeth Whyte Schulze
Using natural materials students will learn to weave exquisite baskets using the Lazy Squaw stitch. Hand dyed colors of raffia coiled over round reed will allow the student to stitch a traditional design. Coiled baskets of this technique were known as the treasure baskets in the early southwest. The class will learn about designing on a coiled format and how to plan a pattern. In addition students will also experiment with long leaf pine needles that can be added to the baskets for design or used in the core of the coiled basket.
Tuition $420 (Includes lab fee)
