Our welding studio offers a unique opportunity to try a medium not often available to high school students. Techniques taught include basic torch welding and cutting, joining and forming. We will work with steel rod as well as flat sheet steel, to get a thorough look at how steel can be used as a sculptural material. Individual projects introduce students to fundamentals of working 3 dimensionally, while encouraging them to use and develop their own voice.
