KATE JENKINS taught herself to spin and weave as a hobby 30 years ago. Today she works as a professional weaver, producing handwoven chenille fabrics for a clothing designer. She also designs her own line of chenille scarves and experiments with rug weaving and tapestry. She teaches weaving at several New England craft schools.
