Alison Safford

 

ALISON SAFFORD received a BFA in sculpture from Carnegie Mellon University in 1988. She went on to earn her MFA in Sculpture from Alfred University in 1996. Alison has shown regionally and nationally, in both traditional galleries, alternative spaces, and in site specific community based projects. Safford has worked as an arts educator, recently in a one-year position at Bowling Green State University in Ohio. Her past residencies include the Atlantic Center for the Arts in Florida, The Vermont Studio Center, The Jay County Arts Center in Indiana, and Sculpture Space in Utica, NY. Currently, she is teaching metal shop to special needs student in the Boston area.
